After a thrilling 120 minutes of goalless soccer, Argentina emerged victorious over the Netherlands in a penalty shootout to secure their place in the 2014 FIFA World Cup Final. Goalkeeper Sergio Romero was the hero for Argentina, saving two penalties in the shootout.

The match was a tense affair, with both teams having chances to win in regulation and extra time. Argentina had the better of the chances in the first half, but they were unable to find the back of the net. The Netherlands came out stronger in the second half, but they too were unable to break the deadlock.

In the penalty shootout, Argentina converted all four of their attempts, while the Netherlands missed two. Romero saved penalties from Ron Vlaar and Wesley Sneijder to give Argentina the victory.

Argentina will now face Germany in the World Cup Final on Sunday. It will be a rematch of the 1986 World Cup Final, which Argentina won 3-2.
